NMDC Vacancies for Engineers

NMDC VACANCIES FOR VARIOUS POSTS: 

REQUIRES MANPOWER FOR IT’S GREENFIELD STEEL PLANT AND OTHER UNITS:
NMDC Limited, a Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India and a multi locational, multi product and consistently profit making Mining & Mineral Exploration Organization with about 11,000 crore turnover is in the process of massive expansion and diversification both in India and
abroad. The company is also setting up an Integrated Steel Plant (NISP) at Nagarnar near Jagdalpur,Chhattisgarh State. NMDC is now looking for suitable persons for the following posts to be deployed in its Integrated Steel Plant at Nagarnar and Other Units.
A. Mechanical/Metallurgy/Electrical/Chemical/Instrumentation/Civil/Structural Engineers for various functional areas of NISP, Nagarnar :

with experience as indicated at II below in operation/maintenance of any of the major units of an integrated steel plant like Raw Material Handing Plant / Coke-
Ovens/ By – Product Plant/ Blast Furnace/ Sinter Plant / Steel Melting Shop/ Continuous slab Casting Plant/Hot Strip Rolling Mills/ Lime & Dolomite Plant/
Power Plant/Power & Blowing Station/Oxygen Plant /Utilities including Water Supply, Energy Management, Central Maintenance Dept./ Loco & Traffic/ Central
Laboratory Management. (Quality Control of Raw materials, finished products and process control of Integrated Steel Plant etc.,).

B. INDUSTRIAL SAFETY (For the post of Sr. Manager (E4)/Manager (E3) (FOR NISP, NAGARNAR) (No. of Posts: 03)
Qualification & Experience: The candidate should be a Graduate in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering with a Degree /Diploma in Industrial Safety from a
reputed institute like Central Labour Institute (CLI)/ Regional Labour institute (RLI). The candidate should have working experience as at II below in a large
manufacturing organization preferably in an integrated Steel plant/Power Generation Plant/Heavy Engineering industries/ Continuous Process industry.
Candidates having experience in administration of Safety provisions and knowledge of industrial Safety Systems and regulations under the Factories Act will
be preferred. Experience in promotion of safety consciousness among employees and examination of machinery, equipment and building from safety angle
and organizing safety training to employees will be an added advantage. The candidate should have adequate knowledge of Hindi.
C. HORTICULTURE (For the post of Junior Officer (Horticulture) (Supervisory level) (for NISP NAGARNAR) (No. of Posts: 03)
Qualification & Experience: The candidate should have "PG Degree in Science (M Sc.) with Agriculture/Horticulture or B.Sc (Agri) of 4 years course or
B.Sc (3 years) + PG Diploma in Agriculture/ Horticulture". 1 Year experience in line is desirable.
D. SR. MANAGER (Ceramic)(E4)/Manager(Ceramic)(E3) – for PANTHAL MAGNESITE PROJECT OF J& K MDC : (No. of Post : 01)
Qualification and Experience: A Degree in Ceramic Engineering preferably first class from a reputed institute. The candidate should have post qualification
experience as indicated at II below in erection and commissioning of refractory plant or a similar plant involving Shaft Kin. Candidates having experience in
production/marketing of basic refractories will have an added advantage.

*Scale of pay in respect of posts at Sl. No 1 & 2 above are under revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007.
Total No. of Posts : 53 (SC: 08, ST: 04, OBC: 14, UR: 27). The no. of posts is tentative which may vary depending upon requirement. (Reservation for SC/ST/
OBC/PwD will be as per Govt. guidelines). Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/STs and 3 years for OBCs (Non-Creamy layer) and as per Govt.
guidelines for PwDs/Ex. Servicemen.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. Experience and age relaxable and higher start in the time scale may be considered in case of deserving candidates. Candidates may be considered for a
lower post in case they are found otherwise suitable depending on their qualification, experience, present position and performance in the interview.
2. Apart from pay & IDA, other Perks and Allowances limited to 47% of Basic Pay will be payable. Other benefits include PRP, HRA (depending on place of
posting), CPF, Gratuity, Medical facilities, Group Insurance, etc., as per rules.
3. Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualification and experience will not vest any right in candidates for being called for interview. Decision of management to call
the candidates for interview shall be final. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
4. Outstation candidates called for interview for E7 grade will be reimbursed to & fro single Airfare (Economy class) subject to production of proof. In respect of
other grades candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to and fro single AC II Tier rail fare by shortest route subject to production of proof.
